PEMBROKE WELSH CORGI CLUB OF THE WESTERN RESERVE
August 6, 2005
Regular Classes - Marian Johnson Your (Tri-umph)
Sweepstakes Classes - Pam Dent (Nightsong)
I would like to thank the Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club of the Western
Reserve for inviting me to judge their specialty show. It was a great
honor to do so. Dan Hartman, the show chair, anticipated my every need.
The lovely fruit basket and hospitality bag that he personally delivered
to my room was much appreciated.
Thank you to the membership and show committee for the beautiful slate
painting of my Ch. Tri-umph’s Turning Heads CD, NA; I will treasure
it forever.
My entry was full of quality; head type overall was excellent, as
were temperaments. Shoulder placement and layback were good for the
most part, but upper arms and length of body are areas that need watching.
Without the correct length of upper arm, the corgi cannot attain that
easy, fluid movement that is essential to a herding dog. My experiences
in herding training over the past year have brought home to me the
necessity of effortless movement in a dog that must work all day, even
over short distances. Length of body not only facilitates under reach,
the important but often ignored “other half” of reach and
drive, but is also an important component of the correct corgi outline,
a vital aspect of Pembroke type. As you will see in my critique, when
I found both of these elusive virtues in the same dog, I rewarded them.
I thank the exhibitors for bringing their lovely dogs to me and for
their gracious acceptance of my decisions.
Marian Johnson Your (Tri-umph)
PUPPY DOGS, 6-9 MONTHS (2 entered, 1 absent)
1. SANDFOX MEDAGLIA D’ORO (Ch. Byendebrok Maplecreek Baccarat
x Ch. Sandfox Set Me Free) Breeder/Owner: Vicki Sandage DVM. This tricolor
puppy has very correct shoulder layback, upper arm length, and forechest.
Beautiful eye, correctly shaped. In lovely coat and condition. Clean
coming and going, good reach and drive, just a little loose all over,
as one would want in a puppy who is just three days past six months
old. A very nice puppy.
PUPPY DOGS, 9-12 MONTHS (3 entered, 1 absent)
1. KEEPSAKE BELIEVE YOU ME (Ch. Tallyrand Doubting Thomas x Keepsake
Just Imagine) Breeder/Owner: Molly Forbes. This puppy was outstanding
for his super reach and drive, due to correct layback of shoulder and
good length of upper arm, balanced by an equally correct rear. His
nice large ears balanced his headpiece. Nice bone and overall balance,
with correct length of body and a lovely flow of neck into shoulders.
Nice bone; appears a little high on leg at this time due to age; with
maturity, should do well. RESERVE WINNERS DOG.

2. ELFWISH AIR APPARENT (Ch. Aurora Archery Summit x Ch. Elfwish Amelia
Airheart) Breeders/Owners: D. Francis & S. Wolfskill. Beautiful
type with a gorgeous eye. Not as much length of body and upper arm
as number one. Did not maintain a level topline on the move.
DOGS, 12-18 MONTHS (4 entered, 0 absent)
1. FAERIETALE CURIG FOSTER (Ch. Coventry Quest x Willoans Becky Biggens)
Breeders/Owners: Susan Neave & Barbara du Pree. Red and white with
very good type, good shoulder placement, good upper arm, nice rear
angulation. Out of coat. Clean coming and going and good sidegait;
a nice overall package.
2. GREENWOODS ETHAN ALLEN (Ch. Dwynella Custom Made x Ch. Greenwoods
Serendipity) Breeder: Deidre Rodgers. Owners: Nancy & Mike Oehlhof.
Red and white with good type and a beautiful eye, unfortunately moving
high in the rear today. A very good quality dog.
3. ENCORE G LOOMIS (Ch. Shavals Fire Classic at Craigycor x Ch. Elfwish
Cat on a Hot Tinwoof) Breeder: Marlene Rosenberg. Owner: M. Rosenberg,
D. Francis & S. Wolfskill. A pale sable dog, very sound coming
and going. Forward placed shoulder and short upper arm hindered ease
of sidegait.
4. HALLMARKS OTB (Ch. Tallyrand Doubting Thomas x Hallmarks Kiwi Figjam)
Breeder: Bettejean Hilliard & Valerie Jones Brown. Owners: Dee
Stahl, Valerie Brown & Midge Ruscak. Good head proportions on this
red and white dog. Not the shoulder layback or elegance of outline
of those placing above him.
BRED-BY-EXHIBITOR DOGS (7 entered, 1 absent, 1 moved up to specials)
1. KESTREL FOXGLOVE (Ch. Kestrel Elite Dream x Ch. Brunswig’s
Gemma) Breeder/Owner: Ann Caterson. This rich red and white dog took
my eye from the moment he walked into the ring and he never let me
down. Absolutely stunning outline with perfect balance. He has the
elusively correct length to height proportions so often lacking in
our breed today. When asked to move, he floated effortlessly around
the ring, which was no mean feat on the uneven surface. These virtues
helped him overcome the disadvantage of being one of the youngest dogs
in the class, and in the challenge for Winners he was again a standout
for outline and movement. WINNERS DOG.

2. CURIG FAERIETALE CRANBERRY (Ch. Maplecreek Montgomery x Curig Faerietale
Witch Hazel) Breeders/Owners: Barbara du Pree & Susan Neave. Beautiful
head type and condition. Correct eye. Nicely balanced movement but
not the length of body of the winner.
3. HERONSWAY TIME AFTER TIME (Ch. Aberlee Storm Force x Ch. Heronsway
Day by Day) Breeder/Owner: Anne Bowes. Beautiful head type, very similar
in head and body to the second place dog. Unfortunately, not showing
himself to advantage today, preferring to romp and play instead of
showing off his movement. The youngest in the class at thirteen months
old, he will surely do well when he decides to take this a bit more
seriously.
4. CONWYS LETS TAKE A CHANCE (Ch. Conwy Brkhaven Kings Go Forth x
Caralons Magic Spellcaster) Breeder/Owner: Suzann Stickney. Nice length
of body and angulation on this red and white dog, but he was not using
himself well on the move today. Good head type and proportions.
OPEN DOGS (4 entered, 0 absent)
1. SANDFOX BLACKJACK BEETLE BUG (Ch. Sandfox Running Free x Ch. Sandfox
Classy Chassis) Breeders: Vicki Sandage DVM & Greg Kitinger. Owner:
Kristie Sarafolean. Handsome red headed tri boy, good length to height
proportions, but could have been a little longer for perfection. Moved
around the ring very easily and smoothly. Correctly shaped eye and
good head proportions.
2. ANWYL WINDS O CHANGE (Aust. Ch. Belroyd Knight Flyer x Aust. Ch.
Anwyl Whirl Wind) Breeders: Dr. Bruce Robertson & Robin Robertson.
Owner: Annika Falk. Almost identical head proportions and expression
as the first place dog, although apparently unrelated. Very similar
driving movement. A lot of bone. Less length of body than the class
winner.
3. SANDFOX HEAVENLY MAGIC (Ch. Tallyrand No Greater Love ROMX x Ch.
MACH Tallyrand Angels Are Watching) Breeders: Vicki Sandage DVM & Lois
Zelenski. Owner: Jackie Hook & Vicki Sandage DVM. Another red headed
tri, I thought this one would be my winner when I first looked at the
class. Outstanding outline, quality and breed type. I was quite disappointed
to see he did not use himself at all well on the move, which could
be due to his inexperience in the ring and uneven ground conditions.
4. CURIG FAERIETALE CORIANDER (Ch. Maplecreek Montgomery x Curig Faerietale
Witch Hazel) Breeders: Barbara du Pree & Susan Neave. Owners: Barbara
Morrison & Barbara du Pree & Susan Neave. Red and white dog,
higher on leg than those placing above him. Shorter upper arm restricted
movement.
PUPPY BITCHES, 6-9 MONTHS (9 entered, 4 absent)
This class was just teeming with quality and promise.
1. SANDFOX TOUCH GOLD (Ch. Byendebrok Maplecreek Baccarat x Ch. Sandfox
Set Me Free) Breeder/Owner: Vicki Sandage DVM. Absolute quality. Lovely
balance, bone, beautiful sable coat, lovely head proportions, and when
she moved around the ring, she absolutely floated. Dead level topline,
held steadily as she went around the ring with a truly suspended gait.
I wanted to take her home, but her breeder/owner said no. She was amazingly
well trained and well behaved for only being six months old and three
days old; I could not deny such quality. RESERVE WINNERS BITCH.

2. HARMONY THANK GOODNESS (Sua Mah Thanks for the Memories x Harmony
Adagio) Breeder/Owner: Melody Kist. A red and white bitch with very
nice ground covering movement. Correct body length with a lovely neck
flowing into well-laid shoulders. An older puppy than number one and
at a leggier stage right now. Very pretty and feminine type with good
head proportions, a lovely eye and very nicely shaped and set ears.
3. HARMONY CURVES AHEAD (Ch. Harmony Just a Moment x Harmony Sweet
Molly Malone) Breeder/Owner: Melody Kist. Red headed tricolor, very
similar in outline and movement to the second place bitch. She was
not as sure of herself today as those who placed above her. Very nice
head and eye. Good length of body.
4. GAYLORD’S LIFE’S A BEACH (Ch. Dalarno Play It Again
Sam x Ch. Gaylord’s Beach Baby) Breeders/Owners: Larry Adams & David
Guempel. Another very nice moving red and white, simply unfortunate
to be in the same class as the three who placed above her on a day
when she’d left her coat at home. Had a tendency to roach over
the loin on the move.
PUPPY BITCHES, 9-12 MONTHS (4 entered, 0 absent)
1. MAPLECREEK POT OGOLD TIME ENUFF (Ch. Byendebrok Maplecreek Baccarat
x Dwynella Chance in Time) Breeder: Mindy Holmes & Pat Bittles.
Owner: Pat Bittles & Sue Klar. Beautiful sable bitch, lovely body
proportions. Beautiful foxy expression with correct oval eye. All my
notes on her begin with either “beautiful” or “lovely” and
indeed, she is an overall lovely bitch. Easy ground covering side gait
with a steady, level back. Although just a puppy, she kept showing
her heart out throughout the long, hot day. My congratulations to both
her breeders and owners. WINNERS BITCH, BEST OF WINNERS, BEST PUPPY.

2. FAERIETALE CURIG PREMONITION (Ch. Stonecroft’s Second Sight
x Ch. Curig Faerietale Sand Pebbles) Breeders/Owners: Susan Neave and
Barbara du Pree. A lovely foxy headpiece. Uses herself well with driving
movement. A little higher on leg than number one in the class.
3. KEEPSAKE REASON TO BELIEVE (Ch. Tallyrand Doubting Thomas x Keepsake
Just Imagine) Breeder/Owner: Molly Forbes. Lovely type and quality
with a correct eye. Good substance, but rolling a bit over the loin
on the move at this time; this possibly could be improved with conditioning.
Shorter coupled and a bit higher on leg than the class winner.
4. MAPLELEAFSANDYSHIRE SPICEGAL (Ch. Sandyshire’s Philanderer
x Mapleleaf Windhamlair Nutmeg) Breeder: Patricia L. Sandy-Smith. Owners:
Chari Magnan & Patricia L. Sandy-Smith. Very pretty eye, lots of
quality. Good rear angulation but a short upper arm; this lack of balance
caused her to roach over the loin on the move, which cost her a higher
placement in this strong class.
BITCHES, 12-18 MONTHS (4 entered, 1 absent)
1. HALLMARKS ETA (Ch. Tallyrand Doubting Thomas x Hallmarks Kiwi Figjam)
Breeders: Bettejean Hilliard & Valerie Brown. Owners: Valerie Brown & Midge
Ruscak. Red and white with the best side gait in the class. Clean moving
in front. A correct head with a very pretty eye.
2. BRISTA CHANCE TO REMEMBER (Ch. Dwynella Take A Chance x Ch. Linkel’s
Carrie Ann) Breeders: Linda Muglach, Walter O’Brien & Patty
Gailey. Owner: Walter O’Brien. A gorgeous outline, just my kind
of bitch standing, but she was determined to stand with one leg quite
turned out and would not use herself on the move today.
3. CRAIGYCOR DESERT ROSE (Craigycor Rum Punch x Craigycor Fields of
Gold) Breeder: Alan Matthews. Owners: Joan & Steve Deegan. A pretty
red bitch with sabling. A short upper arm kept her from using her well-laid
shoulder and nicely angulated rear on the move.
BRED-BY-EXHIBITOR BITCHES (12 entered, 0 absent)
Another class that was deep in quality; many decisions were really
splitting hairs.
1. CURIG FAERIETALE AMARYLLIS (Ch. Aberlee Storm Force x Faerietale
Curig Bewitched) Breeders/Owners: Barbara du Pree & Susan Neave.
A pretty, feminine head on this red and white bitch. Full of quality.
Lovely eye. She used everything she had and then some on the move.
Steady topline. Beautiful reach of neck. Very nice bone all the way
down to her very correct feet. For perfection, I would wish for a little
more length of body and a longer upper arm.
2. HERONSWAY DARE TO DREAM (Ch. Aberlee Storm Force x Ch. Heronsway
Daydream Believer) Breeder: Anne Bowes. Owners: Bradley Dickinson & Anne
Bowes. An absolutely stunning headpiece with a beautiful, correct eye.
A longer bodied bitch than number one, with nice angles front and rear.
Also could use more length to the upper arm. Although it was a close
decision between one and two, this bitch did not drive as well in the
rear.
3. CONWY’S JUST DROPPED IN (Ch. Conwy Brkhaven Kings Go Forth
x Caralon’s Magic Spellcaster) Breeder/Owner: Suzann Stickney.
A larger and more substantial bitch than one and two. Beautiful angles,
sound structure with excellent angulation. Not enjoying herself today.
She was reluctant to show her virtues on the move, which cost her in
this class.
4. CONLYN NEVER ANY DOUBT (Ch. Tallyrand Doubting Thomas x Hum’nbird
Fox Sparrow) Breeder/Owner: Connie Rinehart. Red and white with a nice
headpiece and good angulation. Not as mature looking as those placing
above her. Used herself extremely well in spite of a short upper arm.
Good body length and a lovely outline.
AMERICAN-BRED BITCHES (2 entered, 2 absent)
OPEN BITCHES (8 entered, 4 absent, 1 moved up to specials)
1. GAYLORD’S FIREDANCER (Ch. Dalarno Play It Again Sam x Gaylords
Finnish Affair) Breeders: David Guempel & Larry Adams. Owner: Anne
Moore. An easy and purposeful mover, well-balanced front and rear,
very nice length of neck and body. Could use a little more feminine
head and darker eye.
2. CORALIE BEAUCARE GRACE (Ch. Dwynella Black Benny x Ch. Ranchosierra
September Storm). Breeders: Becky Dubose & Carol Liebich. Owners:
Casey Pawl & Carol Liebich. A pretty bitch with a level topline.
Correct eye shape and earset.
3. NORTHRUN COME SAIL AWAY (Ch. Aubrey Oakwind Armful of Fun x Northrun
Gypsea). Breeder/Owner: Cathy Donovan. Beautiful reach of neck, nicely
marked, good expression. Lost her topline on the move; erratic mover.
BEST OF BREED (20 entered, 8 absent)
CH. ELFISH SWEET TALKIN GUY (Ch. Salvenik Sweet Thoughts x Ch. Elfwish
Gingerbread Lady) Breeders: S. Wolfskill & D. Francis. Owners:
S. Wolfskill & D. Francis & T. Mulhausen. A red and white dog
with correct proportions, beautiful reach of neck, and outstanding
reach and drive. His movement was ground covering, smooth and easy.
He held his topline superbly. Clean coming and going. A nice masculine
head with correctly shaped eyes. Good bone. An extremely worthy dog
with many virtues to reward, he was my choice for BEST OF BREED.

CH. GREENWOODS SERENDIPITY (Ch. Dwynella Take A Chance x Ch. Dwynella
April Love) Breeders: Deidre Rodgers & Mary Greenwood & Judy
Todd. Owners: Vicki Sandage DVM & Deidre Rodgers. An absolutely
stunning bitch with beautiful body proportions; very similar body type
to the Best of Breed dog. Lovely feminine head with a beautiful eye
shape, beautiful eye color. Good bone, good feet, lovely front. I just
loved her, but she did not want to move out and use herself today. BEST OF OPPOSITE SEX TO BEST OF BREED.

SELECTIONS OF MERIT
BRYNLEA GAYLORD BIKINI BOTTOM (Bitch) (Gaylord’s Pilgrim’s
Pride x Ch. Gaylord’s Beach Baby) Breeder/Owner: Brenda Stiles.
A quality sable bitch, unfortunately quite out of coat today. Really
pushed for BOS with her ground covering movement.
BROOKEHAVEN SERIOUS MOONLIGHT (Dog) (Ch. Conwy Brookehavn Heartstopper
x Ch. Brookehaven Spin Again) Breeders/Owners: Kathi Gangi & Robert
Rigwood. A tricolor dog, nice type and outstanding movement, firm back.
CRAIGYCOR ELLE VATION (Bitch) (Ch. Tallyrand No Greater Love ROMX
x Shavals Fire Vision at Craigycor) Breeder: Alan Matthews & Laura
Campion. Owners: S. Wolfskill, D. Francis & A. Matthews. A nicely
balanced red and white bitch, one I have liked before for her easy,
ground covering movement. In lovely condition.

SWEEPSTAKES
I would like to thank the Western Reserve Club for inviting me to
judge your sweepstakes. I thoroughly enjoyed my assignment. I have
often come to this specialty as an exhibitor and was always impressed
by the hospitality and it was every bit as good for a judge. The goody
basket in my room was a welcome touch, and the lovely slate of Ch.
Wakefield Dandelion is wonderful; I will cherish it always. Particular
thanks are due to show chair Dan Hartman, who anticipated my every
wish, and to my steward Kathy Shannon, who kept my ring organized and
running smoothly.
I would also like to thank the exhibitors for bringing me your puppies.
My entry was well turned out, everyone graciously accepted my placements,
and I was privileged to go over so many quality youngsters. Overall,
the quality was deeper in bitches; however I was thrilled with all
of my winners and several of the class placements were splitting hairs
and could change on another day.
Pam Dent (Nightsong)
PUPPY DOGS, 6-9 MONTHS (2 entered, 0 absent)
1. SANDFOX MEDAGLIA D’ORO (Ch. Byendebrok Maplecreek Baccarat
x Ch. Sandfox Set Me Free) Breeder/Owner: Vicki Sandage DVM. I liked
this tri puppy very much. He has beautiful type, lots of bone, a nice
level topline, low to the ground, beautiful head, correct coming, a
little puppy loose going at this age.
2. JAEGER BEBOP ZIP N ZOOM (Ch. Moby Dick-Chapter Three x Ch. Marnac
Southern Breeze) Breeder: Jeanne Persinger. Owner: Stephanie Garcia.
This puppy has nice length of body, a level topline and nice length
of neck. Not the head or the front of the first puppy.
PUPPY DOGS, 9-12 MONTHS (3 entered, 1 absent)
1. ELFWISH AIR APPARENT (Ch. Aurora Archery Summit x Ch. Elfwish Amelia
Airheart) Breeders/Owners: D. Francis & S. Wolfskill. Red and white
dog with a pleasing head with a nice dark eye and lots of mascara.
Low to the ground with a good front and good side movement. Not as
correct going.
2. KEEPSAKE BELIEVE YOU ME (Ch. Tallyrand Doubting Thomas x Keepsake
Just Imagine) Breeder/Owner: Molly Forbes. Red and white dog with a
beautiful body, lots of bone, level topline and good side gait. I prefer
the head of the first puppy.
DOGS, 12-15 MONTHS (3 entered, 0 absent)
1. ENCORE G LOOMIS (Ch. Shavals Fire Classic At Craigycor x Ch. Elfwish
Cat On A Hot Tinwoof) Breeder: Marlene A. Rosenberg. Owners: M. Rosenberg & D.
Francis & S. Wolfskill. This very elegant light red and white dog
caught my eye as soon as he walked in the ring and he did not disappoint
on the move. He has a nice head with a lovely sweet expression and
plenty of mascara. Good length of body, level topline, correct front.
His reach and drive enabled him to float around the ring. I was pleased
to take him on to BEST OF OPPOSITE SEX IN SWEEPS.

2. HERONSWAY TIME AFTER TIME (Ch. Aberlee Storm Force x Ch. Heronsway
Day By Day) Breeder/Owner: Anne H. Bowes. This moderate-sized red and
white dog was also very nice. He had a little blockier head than the
first dog and a nice dark eye, and good expression. He has a level
topline, and good side gait; not as correct in front as number one.
3. HALLMARKS OTB (Ch. Tallyrand Doubting Thomas x Hallmarks Kiwi Figjam).
Breeders: Bettejean Hilliard & Valerie Jones Brown. Owners: Dee
Stahl & Valerie Brown & Midge Ruscak. Much larger red and white
dog. Also having a good topline and length of body. Doesn’t have
the movement of the above.
DOGS, 15-18 MONTHS (4 entered, 0 absent)
1. GREENWOODS ETHAN ALLEN (Ch. Dwynella Custom Made x Ch. Greenwoods
Serendipity) Breeders: Deidre Rodgers, Mary Greenwood. Owners: Nancy
Oehlhof & Mike Oehlhof. A lot to like about this red and white
dog. Lovely outline, nice head, dead level topline, good sidegait,
nice posternum, correct front, nice short hocks, and a good showman.
2. FAERIETALE CURIG FOSTER (Ch. Coventry Quest x Wiloan’s Becky
Biggens) Breeders/Owners: Susan Neave & Barbara du Pree. Also a
very nice red and white dog, but sadly out of coat, the lack of pants
spoiling the outline. He has a pretty head, correct front and good
side gait.
3. KESTREL FOXGLOVE (Ch. Kestrel Elite Dream x Ch. Brunswig’s
Gemma) Breeder/Owner: Ann Caterson. This is a red and white dog with
a beautiful outline and good side movement, unfortunately he stood
sloppy in front. Hopefully, this will improve as he matures.
4. SANDFOX HEAVENLY MAGIC (Ch. Tallyrand No Greater Love ROMX x Ch.
MACH Tallyrand Angels Are Watching) Breeders: Vicki Sandage & Lois
Zelenski & Mark Young. Owners: Jackie Hook & Vicki Sandage.
This was a tri dog with a beautiful head. He was extremely low to the
ground and on the day his topline was off. Also his movement was restricted.
PUPPY BITCHES, 6-9 MONTHS (8 entered, 2 absent)
1. SANDFOX TOUCH GOLD (Ch. Byendebrok Maplecreek Baccarat x Ch. Sandfox
Set Me Free) Breeder/Owner: Vicki Sandage DVM. I absolutely adored
this puppy. She has lovely type with lots of bone. She has a beautiful
feminine head and a nice dark eye. Low to the ground, level topline
and good movement. She got tired when she came back in for Best in
Sweeps. She will definitely be one to watch in the future.
2. HARMONY THANK GOODNESS (Sua Mah Thanks For The Memories x Harmony
Adagio) Breeder/Owner Melody A. Kist. This was another nice puppy bitch
with good type, correct proportions, a sweet expression, and good side
movement. Her ear set may be a little low. She could stand sloppy in
front, but this could change with maturity.
3. HARMONY CURVES AHEAD (Ch. Harmony Just A Moment x Harmony Sweet
Molly Malone) Breeder/Owner: Melody A. Kist. This tri puppy was a little
unsettled. She has a pretty head, level topline, good front, moves
up and down from the side, lacking reach and drive.
4. WOODWYNNE’S DRAGON KISS (Ch. Vache’s Pendragonof Jimanie
x Foxlyn-Woodwynne Sweet Tea PT) Breeders: Linda Stoddard & Linda
Galpin. Owners: Kathy & Stephanie Garcia & Linda Galpin. This
was a black-headed tri puppy. She was unsettled to start, behaved better
on the move. Not the head of the above.
PUPPY BITCHES, 9-12 MONTHS (4 entered, 0 absent)
1. MAPLECREEK POT O’GOLD TIME ENUFF (Ch. Byendebrok Maplecreek
Baccarat x Dwynella Chance In Time) Breeders: Mindy Holmes & Pat
Bittles. Owners: Pat Bittles & Sue Klar. I loved this red and white
puppy with light sableing the minute she walked in the ring. She has
everything one could ask for in a bitch: nice size, lovely outline
and proportions, beautiful feminine head and expression, good reach
and drive, floated around the ring. She never let down and I was most
pleased to award her BEST IN SWEEPSTAKES.

2. FAERIETALE CURIG PREMONITION (Ch. Stonecroft’s Second Sight
x Ch. Curig Faerietale Sand Pebbles) Breeders/Owners: Susan Neave & Barbara
du Pree. This is also a very nice red and white puppy. Pretty head,
good posternum, nice side gait. A little higher in leg than number
one. Unfortunate to meet the first place puppy.
3. KEEPSAKE REASON TO BELIEVE (Ch. Tallyrand Doubting Thomas x Keepsake
Just Imagine). Breeder/Owner: Molly Forbes. A bigger bitch than the
two above. Not the head of number one. Nice body and very good side
gait, but drops off in the croup on the move.
4. MAPLELEAFSANDYSHIRE SPICEGAL (Ch Sandyshire’s Philanderer
x Mapleleaf Windamlair Nutmeg) Breeder: Patricia L. Sandy-Smith. Owners:
Chari Magnan & Patricia L. Sandy-Smith. This puppy has nice type
and length. Not the head of the first two. She was a little unsettled
and her topline was off on the move today.
BITCHES, 12-15 MONTHS (1 entered, 0 absent)
1. HALLMARKS E.T.A. (Ch Tallyrands Doubting Thomas x Hallmarks Kiwi
Figjam). Breeders: Bettejean Hilliard & Valerie Brown. Owners:

head and good bone. She is a little straight in the shoulder.
BITCHES, 15-18 MONTHS (4 entered, 1 absent)
1. CRAIGYCOR DESERT ROSE (Craigycor Rum Punch x Craigycor Fields Of
Gold) Breeder: Mr. Alan Mathews. Owners: Joan & Steve Deegan. Pretty
light red and white with light sableing. Very pretty head. Won the
class on her side movement.
2. BRISTA CHANCE TO REMEMBER (Ch. Dwynella Take A Chance x Ch. Lin-Kel
Kerrie’s Ann) Breeders: Linda Muglach, Walter O’Brien & Patty
Gailey. Owner: Walter O’Brien. Another pretty bitch with a good
head. A little out of coat. Not the sidegait of number one and not
as correct in front.
3. RAVINEL C’EST BON DE MAPLELEAF (Willoans Lucky Lad x Mapleleafs
Goodnight Irene) Breeders: Erin M. Moore & Chari Magnan. Owner:
Chari Magnan. A bigger, darker red and white bitch with a level topline
and nice length. Plainer head than those above and toed in coming back
to me.
